Netzach of Malchut
Hi everyone, Jordan Drayer, the savvy millennial voice actress who is working on enduring self-esteem. Today is six weeks and four days of the Omer. If you want to know more about the Omer and how it works, check out the links in the description.
Today is Netzach of Malchut, the endurance of leadership. This fits with self-esteem, especially if you consider these questions. How strong is my conviction to fight for a cause? How confident am I in myself?
If you have enduring dignity, you'll know that because you are worthy and you fight for worthy causes, you are majestic. It is hard for me to be confident all the time, and I'm definitely working on self-esteem even now, but days like this help me know I am doing well, simply because I am here and alive.
Self-esteem for the win
Here's an important question: "Do I mask my insecurities by finding other excuses for my low endurance level?" This could be due to imposter syndrome or fear of success. I have lamented that I don't want to look at screens anymore, that I've been on the computer too long to do any voiceover marketing research, but then I'll turn around and play video games or other things involving screens. I believe I do have some fear of success, though it's hard to describe it exactly.
Or another thing I've found I do, I can get everything done for other people and take on tons of work. But when it comes time to make time for my own pursuits like voiceover, I never take it as seriously, because it's only for me, not another person. This is a self-esteem thing that must change as well, that my self-set tasks are just as important as the ones other people give me.
Today's exercise is to act on something that you believe in but until now have done nothing about. This is the leap of faith, the Nike "just do it." I've been wanting to start a penpal back-and-forth with a friend, hoping to get to know them better, so I'll write finally write that first letter. What will you do? Well, one thing you can do is like and share this video! I'll see you tomorrow.
